Fun facts about bella

1. In her 11 years in 4H & FFA she had the opportunity to raise and compete in shows with 7 different species of livestock, dairy and poultry. 

   

2. Bella still has many chickens from her 4H days and is a self proclaimed small scale chicken farmer. She hopes to someday acquire enough acreage here on the coast to begin an egg production operation and locally sell eggs.

   

3. She only has a few pairs of boring solid socks, as she likes to wear fun socks everyday. She has quite the selection of socks from avocados to bees and many pairs with cows and chickens on them.

   

4. Bella was the 4th place individual at the National FFA Agricultural Communications Contest in 2019 in Indianapolis out of over 100 competitors. Her team placed 2nd nationally.

She was born and raised in Turlock, California where her family owns and operates a dairy farm and where her love for agriculture first began.

She moved to San Luis Obispo in 2019 to attend Cal Poly after transferring from Modesto Junior College. Morgan received her bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communication in June 2021 and is now continuing her education in the Agricultural Education Master’s program at Cal Poly.

Fun facts about Morgan:

1. Basketball is her favorite sport! She played basketball at Modesto Junior College for two years.

2. She is 100% Portuguese and has been involved in Portuguese Festas since she was 5 years old.

3. She has her own little farm back home that includes chickens, goats, sheep, a potbelly pig, rabbits, a miniature horse, and two alpacas!

Morgan is excited to learn about all the great products and services Poor Richard’s Press has to offer. She is especially looking forward to gaining more experience in marketing while working alongside Marketing Manager, Bella Skinner!  

Bella is joining the Poor Richard’s Press team as our new marketing manager! She is from the small coastal town of Loma Mar, California and she just recently (virtually!) graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Agricultural Communications. She is excited to start her career here at Poor Richard’s Press.

Here are some need-to-know facts about Bella:

1. She loves being outdoors!

She enjoys spending her free time outdoors whether its hiking, relaxing on the beach, or exploring the surroundings of SLO.

2. SHe is currently working her way through all of stephan king’s novels

Since January Bella has read 7 of his books; she still has quite a way to go to finish them all! (90 to be more specific!)

3. her favorite animals are goats

In her small hometown she raised Pygmy and Nigerian goats for fun and as family pet. She loves their unique personalities and how energetic they can be.
