1. LASER ENGRAVED INSULATED DRINKWARE & ACCESSORIEs

Direct to film, commonly known as DTF, is a process in which a graphic printed onto a piece of film with various colored inks is applied to an apparel item. This pre-printed film is binded to the garment through heat and pressure from a heat-press machine. This creates a long-lasting and detailed graphic that can be placed on an array of garments. 

The process

DTF printing starts with the film being made on a DTF printer. This printer uses a thick PET film that ensures for better transferring characteristics. The ink used for these printers are in the typical CMYK (cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black) pigment but also has the addition of white ink. The white ink plays a significant role in the creation of the DTF film as it is the foundation that the colored pigments get placed on.

Once the film is created it is ready to be applied to a garment. We use an in-house heat press machine to adhere these films to the garments. Each garment type will require a different variation of temperature, time, and pressure to ensure the DTF film is properly applied. After pressed onto the item, a clear backing can be peeled off of the film to complete the process!

Fun facts about bella

1. In her 11 years in 4H & FFA she had the opportunity to raise and compete in shows with 7 different species of livestock, dairy and poultry. 

   

2. Bella still has many chickens from her 4H days and is a self proclaimed small scale chicken farmer. She hopes to someday acquire enough acreage here on the coast to begin an egg production operation and locally sell eggs.

   

3. She only has a few pairs of boring solid socks, as she likes to wear fun socks everyday. She has quite the selection of socks from avocados to bees and many pairs with cows and chickens on them.

   

4. Bella was the 4th place individual at the National FFA Agricultural Communications Contest in 2019 in Indianapolis out of over 100 competitors. Her team placed 2nd nationally.

In general terms, embroidery is the art of stitching thread to a fabric to create decorative designs. Screen printing (also known as silk screening) is the process of using thick inks to print images and graphics onto a fabric.

Embroidery and screen printing both serve the same purpose, to add a design to a garment or fabric. But the processes, durability, and application of these methods differ.

The processes

Embroidery begins by getting your logo, image, or design digitized into a file that the embroidery machines can read. This is when thread colors can be chosen to best match the look you’re going for. Once the placement and size of the artwork have been determined for the garment, embroidering can begin!

Screen printing begins by separating the file into various layers based on the colors in the image. Each of these color layers are then used as a seperate screen process to layer the colors on top of each other to create the desired look.

So which process should you choose?

Choosing which process you want is dependant on a few different variables and what is most important for what you’re looking for.

• • Cost: When you’re looking for small to midsize logo(s) on an apparel item it is almost always cheaper to use embroidery. For large, full-front or full-back artworks screen printing will typically be the cheaper option.
  • Fabric type: Embroidery is a little more diverse with fabric options than screen printing is. If you have an item with a thick, rough fabric then embroidery will look much nicer than screen printing. On flatter and thinner fabric types, either process can work.
  • Quality: Embroidered logos and designs typically last longer and are more durable. When properly taken care of, screen printing can last just as long.
  • Turnaround time: Due to our in-house equipment, our embroidery services are typically the fastest option.

We offer four different types of genuine leather, each of which can be engraved in two seperate ways, creating eight uniquely different looks. All of these leathers are from actual cattle so every piece is unique in it’s own way. 

The distinguishing qualities of each of our leathers depends on the tanning process and the section of the hide the leather is from. As you can see in the picture below, there are many ways to split a hide to get different qualities and types of leathers. Each of these types of leathers have their own unique characteristics and best uses.

Our Veg-Tan Leather packs a punch with it’s great contrast when engraved! This leather is also from the full-grain section of the hide so it is top-quality and unique in it’s markings.

On the left, we have our standard burn, and on the right is our reverse burn. As you can see the contrast between the engraved sections and the natural hide is great, which makes it a great option for smaller or more detailed logos.

London Tan Leather

This next leather is taken from the full-grain section of the cowhide, so it is the highest quality of leather. Because it is taken from the top section of the hide, there is the possibility of scars, stretch marks, and scratches on the surface of this leather. The tanning process of this leather provides a vibrant, classic, bright brown color that’s beautiful for any type of patch.

Below are another two examples of this leather type. The left patch is a standard burn and the right is the reverse burn. This leather type has slightly less contrast than the split leather, but is a classic leather color sure to bring a hint of tradition to any logo put on it.

veg Tan Leather

This next leather is taken from the full-grain section of the cowhide, so it is the highest quality of leather. Because it is taken from the top section of the hide, there is the possibility of scars, stretch marks, and scratches on the surface of this leather. chestnut Leather

Our last and final genuine leather is our most unique in color. The tanning process for this leather creates a brown-orange hue that is sure to catch the attention of anyone near it. This is again from the full-grain section so it is a high quality leather where each sheet has it’s own characteristics that make it unique.

The bottom left shows our standard burm,  while the bottom right shows our reverse burn. This leather has less of a bold contrast so this works best for simple logos or brands. There is a shine to this leather that makes it eye-catching and bold.
